The National Institutes of Health has always been on the cutting edge of technology. When they needed design services to support their complex research and clinical needs, they called upon OLBN.
OLBN has been designing complex, technically challenging projects at NIH for close to a decade. These projects include a dental research clinic, X-ray, PET CT, and MRI imaging suites as well as several research laboratories.
OLBN recently designed the suite for an 11.7T MRI imaging equipment by Siemens, the most powerful MRI machine for human research and the first of its kind in the world. OLBN worked very closely with Siemens engineers, MEP engineers, the installation contractor and the NIH facilities department to overcome design challenges for this brand new technology.
