When the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) found themselves faced with the challenge of integrating extensive emergency generator system upgrades at their historically significant headquarters facility, OLBN was the firm they called. OLBN was able to provide a design-build solution which relocated existing systems from the exterior to the interior of the facility for greater security, expanded the existing emergency power and fuel systems, integrated modern technology and redundancy into existing systems and fully maintained the integrity of the historic facility – all while securing the active loading dock space and ensuring continuous backup power to the mission critical HHS command center throughout the duration of design and construction.
